STATEMENT:
Each of these prints are one-of-a-kind. The paneled piece is comprised of 9 sheets of paper and measures 5.5x7’. The others are 26x20”. Long walks in Truro inspire these works, observing everything and nothing, letting the sense of place permeate me. What happens in the studio is a body of work reminiscent of the outdoors, filled with pattern and color. The rest of the world is also making an appearance in this newest work, i.e. the arrival of a foreboding package, and the battle nature is fighting with climate change. The print techniques include monoprint, lithography, and silkscreen, with touches of paint and pencil in some cases.
